A brief introduction

The Brussels International Badminton Club is one of the oldest English-speaking clubs in Belgium and also one of the first badminton clubs in the country.

The origins

The club has its roots way back in the 1920’s when the Brussels British Community Association was founded - a non-profit umbrella organisation acting as a focal point for a diverse range of British interests, including sporting associations.

Then known as the Brussels British Badminton Club, the club developed over the decades and became increasingly international. Consequently, in 1998, the club changed its name to "Brussels International Badminton Club". Over a decade later, the name still keeps what it promises: we currently have around 20 different nationalities in the club.

We cater for players of different standards, from casual to advanced competitive players. However, due to limited court space, we currently do not have any facilities to provide an initiation to badminton for complete beginners.
